EXPO 2023
On 2nd October, 2023 Hon. Mithika Linturi, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development attended the opening Ceremony of the EXPO 23 which was inaugurated by H.H. The Emir of the State of Qatar. The Expo will take place between 2nd October, 2023 to 28th March, 2024 under the theme “Green Desert, Better Environment”.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of Heads of State and Governments of participating Nations including President of the United Arab Emirates, President of Uzbekistan, President of Djibouti, President of Tanzania, Prime Minister of Iraq, Prime Minister of Yemen and Prime Minister of Rwanda.
The Cabinet Secretary also did a site visit of EXPO 2023 where he visited the Pavilions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Kuwait, Italy and Rwanda where he held talks with the Ambassador of Rwanda and the staff manning the Pavilion.
