The Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya meets the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters in Doha, Qatar.
Dr. Alfred N. Mutua, EGH , Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, held a meeting with H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters in Doha, Qatar.
The Meeting was to appraise the CS on the intended Peace Talks between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that were to take place on 23rd January, 2023 in Doha, Qatar.
The Talks were a rallying effort by the State of Qatar to mediate between Kigali and Kinshasa in an attempt to bring together Rwanda’s leader and DRC’s leader amid soaring tensions. Additionally, the talks in Doha were designed to be a signing ceremony of an Agreement between the warring sides.
